Thabo Daniel Shela is a 26-year-old ATVANCE ACADEMY student currently studying Occupational health, Safety and Environment at our Randfontein campus. He started in February 2019 and was convinced by a friend to come along to the campus. Thabo has always wanted to study OHS because he feels that most companies do not comply with the OHS acts. Thabo expressed that the COVID-19 has been the only obstacle he has had to overcome during his studies. He is particularly fond of his facilitator, “Aunty K”, as all the students call her. He describes her as the best and patient with all the students in her class. Thabo is living proof that studying can positively influence the people around him as 4 of his friends have enrolled for other courses with ATVANCE ACADEMY.
Thabo would like to especially thank the following people:
To Thekiso Tlhapi. He came to know ATVANCE ACADEMY through him
To Aunty K – our facilitator (Kaylene Thomas) Thank you so much!
To the ATVANCE ACADEMY team – thank you for making it possible for the youth of South African
